Starting 5 May 2025, purchase of the GrabFood gear package is no longer mandatory. However all delivery-partners are required to comply with all food safety guidelines and requirements, and use an appropriate insulated/thermal food safe bag to store and deliver food items.

We strongly encourage the use of our available gear sets as recommended, including our GrabFood branded shirts, thermal halal bag, and thermal delivery backpack.

Food Freshness & Safety: Our GrabFood thermal delivery bags are specially designed with insulating material to ensure that food is delivered fresh, safe, and under the most optimal temperature conditions.

What are the recommended gears to purchase to be a Delivery Partner with GrabFood?

What if I do not have the requisite gear? Is there any way I can purchase what I need?

I am currently delivering for both GrabFood and GrabExpress. If I am active on both platforms at the same time, am I allowed to carry along my GrabFood gear even if I am on GrabExpress trips at any given point in time?
Yes. In fact, you are expected to be wearing your GrabFood shirt and carrying your GrabFood bag so long as you are online and active on GrabFood. However, you are not allowed to place any GrabExpress parcels in the GrabFood bag for hygiene and food safety reasons. 

I made alterations to my GrabFood shirts. Will I get penalised?
If you have made alterations to your issued shirts, and if the GrabFood logo has been affected in any way, you will be required to purchase new t-shirts.

My backpack is damaged/stolen/lost. Do I have to purchase a new one?
Yes, all delivery-partners are required to comply with all food safety guidelines and requirements, and use an appropriate insulated/thermal food safe bag to store and deliver food items. Purchase a new set of gear through our online webstore or at our office in Grab@Tampines.

  2. GrabPay Credits (Download the Grab Superapp> Transfer money from your bank account to the GrabPay Wallet. Then pay using it.)

No, you do not need to purchase a starter pack. Kindly ensure that an appropriate insulated/thermal food safe bag is used to store and deliver food items to comply with all food safety guidelines and requirements. We strongly encourage the use of our available gear sets as recommended, including our GrabFood branded shirts and thermal halal bag.

Can the Delivery Kit be returned for a refund?
No, the Delivery Kit is not refundable.

Can the Delivery Kit be exchanged?
No, we do not allow exchanges of the Delivery Kit once purchased.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting.
